Media accreditation is subject to TIFF’s Media Accreditation Rules & Regulations, as amended by TIFF from time to time in its sole discretion, and available at https://accreditedmedia.tiff.net/accreditation-rules-regulations, and is granted at the sole discretion of TIFF Communications based on numerous factors. TIFF reserves the right to issue, deny, suspend, modify, and/or revoke accreditation in its sole discretion, for any reason and at any time, including any rights, privileges, benefits, or access associated with media accreditation. Previous accreditation does not guarantee future accreditation, including for the 2026 Festival. Anyone wishing to be accredited for the 2026 Festival must submit an application and must do so regardless of their accreditation history. Please note that media accreditation does not guarantee you access to any particular area, location, venue, event, or individual(s) (including talent). Each individual granted media accreditation shall comply with TIFF’s Code of Conduct (tiff.net/code-of-conduct).
Please have your pass on you at all times. Your credential will be noted at all TIFF locations and is required for entry to most TIFF venues and events. TIFF passes are non-transferable.
Interviewing, recording, or photographing Festival personnel is not permitted without advance permission from the Press Office.
In order to record inside any Festival venue, permission must be obtained in advance by contacting the Press Office.
In applying for a media accreditation pass, and, if issued, accepting, possessing, or using such a pass (a “Pass”) you hereby agree to indemnify, defend, release, and hold harmless Toronto International Film Festival Inc. (“TIFF”), its licensees, successors, and assigns, and its and their directors, officers, employees, lawyers, agents, contractors, representatives, associates, and volunteers (collectively, the “Releasee(s)”) from and against any and all claims, actions, liabilities, loss, costs (including legal fees and court costs), damages, settlements, penalties or expenses or other proceedings (collectively, the “Claims”), and from any Claims which a Releasee may have suffered or incurred or may suffer or incur, or become subject to, directly or indirectly arising out of, relating to, or in connection with your application for a Pass, the issuance, receipt, possession, use, misuse, suspension, revocation, modification, or denial of a Pass or any accreditation, rights, privileges, benefits, or access associated with a Pass, whether or not a Pass is ultimately issued to you, or inability of you to access any venue, area, location, event, or individual(s) (including talent) in connection with the Toronto International Film Festival (the “Festival”). You further agree not to bring any claim, demand, action or other proceeding against the Releasees. You further agree to indemnify, defend, release, and hold harmless the Releasees from and against any Claims arising out of or relating to your breach of these terms, the negligent or wilful misconduct of you or any agent, employee, guest, invitee, independent contractor, or other person acting on your behalf, or any Claims arising out of or relating to your attendance at, participation in, or presence at the Festival, the TIFF Lightbox, or any event or activity in connection therewith. This indemnity includes any Claims brought by you, your agents, employees, representatives, guests, invitees, independent contractors, or any third party arising from or relating to the foregoing, including Claims arising from or connected to personal injury, property loss or damage, invasion of privacy, defamation, or death, including, without limitation, any claims alleging facts that, if true, would constitute a breach by you of these terms. You further agree and acknowledge that the Pass does not give you any rights to access or guarantee to access any particular area, location, venue, event, or individual(s) (including talent).
